Next week, the Dungeons & Dragons Essentials Kit will be released to more retailers than simply Target. This kit has been designed as a great tool to help introduce new players and Dungeon Masters to the game. It comes with an adventure (Dragon of Icespire Peak), the basic rules to create characters and run the adventure, and a new rule system that allows for sidekicks so that a new player and DM can play without trying to get a big group together. The Essential Kit is also a great option if your group has been running the Lost Mines of Phandelver adventure from the Starter Set as both adventures take place in Phandalin and can be connected together to continue the story.
