The End Is Near in the Full Trailer for HBO's THE LEFTOVERS Season 3
HBO has released the full trailer for the third and final season of Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta's The Leftovers. Everything becomes unhinged as the world waits for the end. As Scott Glenn's character Kevin Garvey, Sr. says:
"On the seventh anniversary of the sudden departure, the rains will come and with it a great flood."
This is the moment where the final season picks up. Everyone is just waiting for the seventh anniversary to see what happens to them. It seems like everyone believes that Justin Theroux's character Kevin is the only one who can do something to save them.
This is sure to be an intense series finale, and Lindelof said:
“The most exciting thing for us as storytellers would be to bring ‘The Leftovers’ to a definitive end. And by ‘definitive,’ we mean ‘wildly ambiguous but hopefully mega-emotional,’ as all things related to this show are destined to be.”
The Leftovers Season 3 also stars Carrie Coon, Amy Brenneman, Kevin Carroll, Christopher Eccleston, Lindsay Duncan, Regina King, Jovan Adepo, Janel Moloney, Margaret Qualley, Jasmin Savoy-Brown, Liv Tyler, and Chris Zylka.
There are eight episodes in the final season, and it's set to premiere on April 16th.
