THE END OF OAK STREET Posters Unleash Dinosaurs Into the Suburbs

If you've ever wondered what would happen if a sleepy suburban neighborhood suddenly found itself trapped in a dinosaur-infested nightmare, David Robert Mitchell looks ready to answer that question in The End of Oak Street.

The filmmaker behind It Follows returns this summer with what looks like one of the most intriguing sci-fi horror movies of the year, and Warner Bros. has now released a brand-new batch of official posters that lean into the film's strange, creature-filled mystery.

The new artwork teases massive dinosaurs invading an ordinary suburban setting, giving the movie an eerie blend of everyday Americana and prehistoric terror. It's the kind of image that immediately grabs your attention and raises plenty of questions about what's really going on.

The film stars Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor, who find themselves face-to-face with a monstrous threat in The End of Oak Street.

From everything we've seen so far, the movie has the feel of an M. Night Shyamalan mystery wrapped in classic Amblin-style adventure, with plenty of retro sci-fi horror flavor mixed in.

Mitchell recently shared some of the movies and shows that helped shape his vision for the project during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. His list of inspirations includes Jurassic Park, The Twilight Zone, Poltergeist, The Valley of Gwangi, and M. Night Shyamalan's Signs.

Set in the early 1980s, The End of Oak Street tells the following story: “After a mysterious cosmic event rips Oak Street from suburbia and transports their neighborhood to someplace unknown, the Platt family soon discovers that their very survival depends on them sticking together as they navigate their now unrecognizable surroundings.”

That premise alone promises plenty of mystery, suspense, and some seriously terrifying encounters with creatures that have absolutely no business roaming through suburban streets.

Joining Hathaway and McGregor are Maisy Stella and Christian Convery, rounding out a cast that will be trying to survive whatever bizarre world Oak Street has been dropped into.

The End of Oak Street is written and directed by David Robert Mitchell and produced by J.J. Abrams, Hannah Minghella, Jon Cohen, Matt Jackson, and Tommy Harper. Executive producers include Chris Bender, Jake Weiner, Joanne Lee, and Leeann Stonebreaker.

Between Mitchell's impressive list of inspirations, the unsettling suburban setting, and giant dinosaurs stomping through neighborhood streets, The End of Oak Street could end up to be one of this summer's most fascinating genre films.

These new posters are just a small tease of the strange ride that's waiting when the movie arrives in theaters on August 14, 2026, from Warner Bros.
