THE FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS Actor Joseph Quinn Reveals Third Villain Who Will Star in the Film
We are just over a month away from the highly-anticipated Marvel movie The Fantastic Four: First Steps. It will officially induct Marvel’s first family into the MCU, introducing us to Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic (Pedro Pascal); Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby); Johnny Storm/The Human Torch (Joseph Quinn); and Ben Grimm/The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach).
They will go up against the Universe’s biggest bad, Galactus, who is being portrayed by actor Ralph Ineson, heralded by Julia Garner’s Silver Surfer. While that seems like a big enough opponent, Joseph Quinn has revealed that the film will feature yet another villain.
Quinn appeared at CCXPMX 25 this past weekend, and via a video shared on X by CultureCrave (via SuperHeroHype), he confirmed that Mole Man will be in the movie. The actor explained:
“We’ve got a lot of fantastic characters in there. There is also Mole Man, who is wonderful in it, but Galactus is the big bad. He’s the big, evil, planet-gobbling space god…He’s played brilliantly by the wonderful Ralph [Ineson].
“And Silver Surfer, played by the brilliant Julia Garner. We were very lucky to work with her, she’s excellent in the film. There are lots of brilliant characters in this film, that’s for sure.”
There have been rumors that Mole Man would appear in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, though there has been no official confirmation until now, as the character hasn’t been seen in any of the trailers.
The popular theory online is that Paul Walter Hauser could be playing Mole Man, as his casting in the film has been confirmed, but it has not yet been announced who he’s playing.
“Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Marvel’s First Family—Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/Human Torch and Ben Grimm/The Thing as they face their most daunting challenge yet,” the official synopsis for the movie reads.
