The FAST AND FURIOUS Franchise Will End After Two More Films Directed by Justin Lin

Universal Pictures is looking to bring the core Fast and Furious film franchise to an end. They are planning on releasing two more films after F9: The Fast Saga, and those films will bring the franchise to a close. It’s had a great run, but it’s definitely time to close it out.

It’s also reported that Justin Lin, who is in the middle of directing F9, will helm these final two movies. This franchise has had a super successful 20-year-run. It’s been crazy to see how it evolved over the years, and I’ve been a fan of what’s been done! I’m curious to see how they end up closing it out.

It’s said that it’s likely those final two films will tell one big story that will focus on franchise patriarch Vin Diesel and bring back Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Sung Kang.

While the core franchise is coming to an end, don’t worry, there are going to be plenty of spinoffs to keep fans happy and entertained.

F9 is set to hit theaters on May 28th, 2021.
