The Fate of HBO's SILICON VALLEY is in Limbo and Production on Season 6 is Delayed Until They Figure it Out
HBO’s Silicon Valley is one of my favorite comedy TV shows and it’s future is hanging in the balance! HBO hasn’t decided whether or not the show will continue after Season 6 and because of that the production on Season 6 has been put on hold.
If Season 6 is the final season they want to wrap up the story. If they series will continue, they want to be able to set it up for Season 7.
There have been hints that the series could be ending soon and TV Line recently talked to executive producer Alec Berg about that, and this is what he said:
“I can’t say we have any [season] number in mind. But we definitely for the first time are starting to talk about, ‘How long do you think this will continue…?’ There is no definitive plan [to conclude the series], but we’re starting to think that maybe there are less shows left than there are in the can.”
We all know the show will eventually come to an end and when it does, I hope it ends on a happy note with Richard and the gang. I’d really like to see them epically succeed, especially after what they’ve been through! They have to succeed!
How would you like to see Silicon Valley end? What would be a satisfying conclusion for you about this story of a group of underdogs who are trying to make their mark in the world. When previously sharing his thoughts on the ending, Thomas Middleditch said:
“[Maybe] one of the last seasons could be about how they made their billion dollars… but then it’s not the underdog story that we’ve come to know and love. And I think everybody’s hesitant about turning it into this show that doesn’t live up to the premise we all bought into.”
Do you think the show should end with Season 6 or would you like at least one more before they bring it to an end?
