The Emotional First Reaction to STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER Comes From Actor Richard E. Grant

Actor Richard E. Grant, who plays Allegiant General Pryde in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has seen the movie, and he posted a video on social media giving us his reaction to the movie. As you’ll see, he absolutely loved the movie, and he gets quite emotional as he talks about it and what director J.J. Abrams has delivered.

He praised the movie as a “resurrection of the Spirit” as tears welled up in his eyes. In the caption of the tweet he posted he said:

“Just seen the 1st cast screening of @starwars #THE RISE OF SKYWALKER. What it achieves, weaves & resolves, is a total emotional meltdown & resurrection of the Spirit.

In the video he explains:

“I’ve just seen Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and nothing prepares you for this. I cheered, I shouted, I fist pumped the air, I cried, I stood and cheered. It’s absolutely everything you hoped it would be. I’m so proud to be in it and I can’t wait for you to see it.”

This is such a beautiful and pure reaction to the film, and I can’t wait to see the movie for myself when it’s released! I hope that it ends up being as great as Grant says it is! The movie hits theaters on December 20th.
