The First KNIGHTS OF GUINEVERE Trailer Invites You Into a Creepy Cool Fantasy Trip
Glitch has released the first full trailer for its new animated series Knights of Guinevere, and what starts as a dreamy fantasy setting quickly unravels into something far stranger and creepier.
The show blends fairy tale magic with unsettling sci-fi body horror, and the trailer makes it clear audiences are in for a wild ride that will be both enchanting and disturbing.
The trailer introduces us to Park Planet, a fantasy theme park that looks bright on the surface but has definitely seen better days. The graffiti and worn-down atmosphere suggest its glory days are long gone.
Two workers at the park, Andi and Frankie, stumble across a broken Princess Android named Gwen. Their plan is to fix her up and sell her for enough money to finally leave the planet, but Gwen has her own mysterious goals that could put their schemes in jeopardy.
Leading the series is Eden Riegel (Primos) as Gwen, with Michaela Laws (Aphmau) and Zelda Khan Black (Genshin Impact) voicing Frankie and Andi. Kayleigh McKee (Guilty Gear Strive) plays Sparky, who appears to be the one who discovers Gwen.
SungWon Cho (Delicious in Dungeon) takes on the role of Orville Park, the park’s central figurehead, while Lauren Kong (MapleStory) and Erin Nicole Lundquist (Naraka Bladepoint) voice the young and old versions of Olivia Park.
The series appears to unfold in two different realities. In one, we follow Andi and Frankie in the real world, trying to profit off the damaged android. In the other, we step into the strange inner world of Gwen herself.
There, she lives as a servant to a young girl and Orville Park when she’s not entertaining crowds in her many costumes, Mermaid, Ballerina, Racer, and of course, Princess.
But beneath all the smiles, Gwen dreams of breaking free from the tower she’s been locked in and finding her “knights.” That desire could collide in a big way with Andi and Frankie’s escape plans.
Knights of Guinevere was first revealed back in January, created by Dana Terrace, Zach Marcus, and John Bailey Owen, all veterans of The Owl House. Now, with the trailer here, we finally know when it’s coming.
The pilot episode will premiere on September 19, with more episodes to follow in the coming months. I can’t wait to watch this!
