The First Look for FOLKLORDS #3 Takes an Unexpected Dark Turn

The first issue of Folklords was pretty fun, and I’m excited for the second issue to drop this week. However, I was not expecting the dark twist that occurs in the preview for Folklords #3. The series is written by Matt Kindt with art by Matt Smith, colors by Chris O’Halloran, and letters by Jim Campbell. The main cover was created by Smith with a variant option available from Dustin Nguyen.

“Outside of the village, life is no fairy tale—and Ansel has learned this the hard way. When his traveling companions disappear into thin air, Ansel finds himself at the mercy of Hanz and Greta. He needs to escape before the worst happens, but the siblings have a story for him, and the truth is more gruesome than he could ever have imagined.”

Folklords #3 will be available on January 22, 2020 with print copies exclusive to local comic book stores.
