The First Reactions to SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2 Are In and People Are Loving It!
Sonic The Hedgehog 2 has screened for several critics recently, and many of them shared their reactions on the film on social media. You’ll be happy to see that they loved it, one critic even saying that it’s “a love letter to video game lovers.”
I really enjoyed the first movie, but from the sound of these reactions, this sequel might actually be better than the first one, which is pretty cool! That’s something that I wasn’t really expecting, but I’ll take it! I was already looking forward to watching the sequel, but at least we know it will offer some fun and nostalgic entertainment!

The movie stars Ben Schwartz as Sonic, Idris Elba as Knuckles, Colleen O'Shaughnessey as Miles "Tails" Prower, Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik, and James Marsden will be back as Tom Wachowski, a police officer that befriends Sonic and offers him some sound advice.
Here’s the synopsis:
The world’s favorite blue hedgehog is back for a next-level adventure in SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2. After settling in Green Hills, Sonic is eager to prove he has what it takes to be a true hero. His test comes when Dr. Robotnik returns, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search for an emerald that has the power to destroy civilizations. Sonic teams up with his own sidekick, Tails, and together they embark on a globe-trotting journey to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.
Not only are we getting this sequel to the film, the studio also recently announced a third film and a Knuckles spinoff. So if you’ve enjoyed this franchise, there’s more coming!
The movie is being directed by Jeff Fowler and it races into theaters on April 8th, 2022.
