#EvilDeadRise gives me everything I want as an EVIL DEAD fan and more. It’s as vicious as 2013, opens the door to future entries in endlessly exiting ways, and owns its place in the series. I’m still buzzing. A franchise that continues to do no wrong. pic.twitter.com/yif8twyLcw

EVIL DEAD RISE is a blood-soaked blast! All of the haunting images & unique shooting styles are summoned back on screen. Fantastic practical effects & gruesome contortion work take center stage. it’s diabolically comical in all the best ways. #sxsw2023 #evildeadrise

#EvilDeadRise is very much in the (malevolent) spirit of the originals. Gnarly, funny and OTT, from the opening scene I knew I was in for a treat and it didn’t disappoint or relent for the next 96 minutes. What a ride! #SXSW2023 pic.twitter.com/FxmrNs8Vbo

#EvilDeadRise is gloriously nasty and fun…the best Evil Dead movie since Evil Dead 2! #SXSW2023 pic.twitter.com/nAZ5YuTwzh

#EvilDeadRise REVIEW: BEYOND TERRIFYING & SURPRISING. A very VIOLENT horror pic that keeps you on the edge of your seat & beats you off. This isn’t just another scary movie, it’s one of the BEST films ever! WOW. A fitting end to her journey while also setting up what’s next #SXSW pic.twitter.com/duv5UnF343

So, Evil Dead Rise absolutely rips, (literally). It's gloriously unhinged, and downright depraved. @LeeCronin brings a fresh sense of hell to the series, and the new setting works so damn well. Also Alyssa Sutherland, take a bow.

I'm a happy deadite. #EvilDeadRise @EvilDead pic.twitter.com/8pagGmLj0O
#EvilDeadRise brings a new essence for the #EvilDead franchise, agonizing, tense, full of gore and blood, a totally crazy movie with an unusual suspense. #EvilDeadRise is a bloody masterpiece. #SXSW #SXSW2023

#EvilDeadRise goes hard as hell. Lee Cronin delivers a visceral and brutal ride that nods to the original films but charts its own bloody path. A perfect theatre experience! pic.twitter.com/ZeQbBM6sa0

I had an absolute blast at #evildeadrise Incredible performances, shocking violence, a creative and crowdpleasing new take on the mythos. Best viewed in a crowded theater so you can all go through it together.

EVIL DEAD RISE: Watching it tonight, two things stood out the most. @curleecronin is a wild, wildly talented craftsman. The shots, the staging, the editing, the sound, the music-- Just staggeringly complex filmmaking amid gallons of blood, I cannot wait to see what he does next.

Home from #EvilDeadRise, and well done Lee Cronin. This film hits you HARD in all 5 senses, yet you're glued to the screen.

Alyssa Sutherland was chilling, and Lily Sullivan was a freaking BADASS. She does aunts/uncles everywhere proud 🥲#SXSW pic.twitter.com/dZLlPF3yVi
EVIL DEAD RISE: It's been a minute since a total gorefest like this was dropped in theaters. Claustrophobic, grimey and mean as hell, this new entry is a crowd-pleaser that gets straight to the violence. Will 100% make you wince at parts. #SXSW2023 pic.twitter.com/ane5CK6N6i
— Paul Lê (@AFinalBoy) March 16, 2023
I'm not going to lie, I was screaming. But this film is really something else, it's canon because there are nods to the other films. There's a lot of eye violence and other things with eyes. 👀 But overall, I felt an emotion that was real and overwhelming. #EvilDeadRise

#EvilDeadRise is a full on non stop mean gore fest BYOB (bring your own blood) party that horror hounds are going to be excited to be a part of. #DeadbyDawn #SXSW pic.twitter.com/qroq5oKRKv

Was #EvilDeadRise worth the wait? Absolutely. This is blood-soaked carnage meant to be seen in a movie theater, and director Lee Cronin doesn't disappoint in the series' legacy. @GroovyBruce's chainsaw has been handed down, and it's just as groovy in action. #SXSW pic.twitter.com/z6TW6mgDaO

This was so much fun, the crowd was so much fun, and we got a cool poster afterwards. This gets to violence so fast, and is such an unapologetic Evil Dead film. I LOVED IT! Go watch this when it comes to theaters!!! pic.twitter.com/a5SqBfAXtT
Just finished #EvilDeadRise! It's one of the scariest movies I've ever seen- it chilled me to my core. The film was so well shot, and it does such a fantastic job of honoring the franchise while standing on it’s own. If you're a fan of horror, you will LOVE this movie. #SXSW pic.twitter.com/TKYTdttv9D

#EvilDeadRise is an utterly terrifying BLAST! A film so relentless & intense it took me back to that sense of pure terror I felt when I saw the original back in the 80’s. Can’t remember the last time a I heard a crowd scream and shout this much! SO MUCH FUN! #SXSW2023 pic.twitter.com/xFnIU2NEc8

#EvilDeadRise is bloody brilliant… literally. It’s so goddamn fun. A fast-paced, hell-bent horror ride that is wickedly violent and squeamishly brutal.

A great mix of OG ‘Evil Dead’ callbacks with a new take of the mythology.
Easily one of my favourites of 2023 so far. pic.twitter.com/Y9mEFo7Xui
#EvilDeadRise is gnarly and WILD - as every Evil Dead film (and show 😉) should be. There are no limits when working with deadites, Lee Cronin knows it, and runs with it to great effect - both when it comes to delivering deeply chilling horror and also a blood soaked good time. pic.twitter.com/kGTsLSbgY3

Evil Dead Rise is so sick and sadistic! It continues the perfect track record of the franchise. Crowd was buzzing throughout! Everything you want from Evil Dead and more. I can’t wait to watch it again! @sxsw @EvilDead @wbpictures #evildeadrise pic.twitter.com/VGc5eeWgsG

#EvilDeadRise is the big crowd-pleasing Evil Dead movie we were hoping for. This EVIL DEAD rises to the occasion. Remixing all the best parts of the franchise to date, in a 1930s tower block, it moves from darkly funny to utterly savage. The audience went ballistic. Hurrah! pic.twitter.com/RBpPDhW3X3
— Whitlock And Pope 🎃 (@WhitlockAndPope) March 16, 2023
#EvilDeadRise is a worthy addition to the franchise. While the other entries have my heart just a little more, the kills are gnarly, it spins a whole new lore for itself, and Lee Cronin brings his own sensibility. Pretty fun stuff! pic.twitter.com/n2VrVI2eAG
— James Preston Poole @ SXSW (@JamesPPoole) March 16, 2023
EVIL DEAD RISE carries Sam Raimi's spirit while still bringing fresh ideas to the table. The kills kick ass and it's going to shock even the most dedicated fans.
— Andrew J. Salazar @ SXSW (@AndrewJ626) March 16, 2023
It's not as comedic as previous films and sticks to a harsher tone, making it stand out in the franchise. #SXSW pic.twitter.com/mWbN3Pm9aX
Something I love about #EvilDeadRise is that it’s not embarrassed of its DNA, from its opening shot to a bananas third act plot development. Scary but not dour; its particular melange of gleeful, giddy horror is probably the closest the series has come to the original.
— Phil Nobile Jr. (@PhilNobileJr) March 16, 2023
#EvilDeadRise is everything you could ask for in a horror movie, gnarly violence, nonstop terror and especially for fans of the series it delivers buckets of style and dark humor. Cronin has crafted some of the most intense and claustrophobic set pieces I’ve seen this year! pic.twitter.com/zhryw8wg51
— Chris (@ItsChrisAguilar) March 16, 2023
EVIL DEAD RISE from @curleecronin blew my mind! It has the classic EVIL DEAD feel yet it’s new and fresh in its own way. Groovy gore, engaging characters, and many MANY gross-out moments. With a quick 96 minute runtime, this movie never bores! #SXSW2023 #EvilDead #EvilDeadRise pic.twitter.com/Xi6Ktgt4qU

#EvilDeadRise explores the question of what is the craziest and funniest shit a dead body could do. I hope they recorded the reaction of the audience because it was incredible! Great performances by the entire cast and astonishing cinematography pic.twitter.com/9m9eY0nb2L
