The First Teaser Trailer Has Dropped for STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS

Paramount+ released the first teaser trailer for its upcoming new Star Trek spinoff series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. This series puts the focus on Anson Mount’s Captain Christopher Pike and his adventures while leading the U.S.S. Enterprise.

The series also brings back Rebecca Romijn as Number One and Ethan Peck as Science Officer Spock. The series will follow “Captain Pike, Science Officer Spock and Number One in the years before Captain Kirk boarded the U.S.S. Enterprise, as they explore new worlds around the galaxy.”

This is actually a show that I’ve been looking forward to watching! I’ve always been curious about Pike’s time on the Enterprise, so the fact that they’re going to explore this era further is really awesome!

Mount recently expressed confidence in the series, saying, "I do think the spirit of our show is in its title," Mount told Syfy Wire. "We're going back to the big idea of the week, the new planet of the week. I think that in itself is going to be exciting for old school fans, as well as new ones."

The series also stars Jess Bush as Nurse Christine Chapel, Christina Chong as La'an Noonien-Singh, Celia Rose Gooding as Cadet Nyota Uhura, Melissa Navia as Lt. Erica Ortegas, and Babs Olusanmokun as Dr. M'Benga.

The 10-episode first season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds debuts on Paramount+ on May 5th.
