The First Trailer For James Wan's AQUAMAN is Said To Be Coming in the Next Few Days
For those of you who are curious about James Wan's Aquaman film, it doesn't sound like you'll have to wait much longer for the first trailer. The trailer was recently screened at CineEurope and Variety points out that the trailer will be released for everyone to enjoy in the next few days.
I recently got to see a good amount of footage of the film at CinemaCon a couple months ago and it was impressive! It has the epic scope of The Lord of the Rings, but the whole thing is set underwater and it looked stunning.
I've never been a big fan of Aquaman, but the footage I saw from the film got me excited about this movie. You can read my breakdown of the footage I saw here. When talking about his take on Aquaman, Wan previously said:
“He doesn’t quite fit in, but as the story progresses, he realizes he’s the best of both worlds. Circumstances allow him to grow as a human being and then realize the bigger picture of it all and what it means to have these abilities."
Jason Momoa will be joined by Willem Dafoe as Vulko; Temuera Morrison (Green Lantern) as Tom Curry; Dolph Lundgren (The Expendables films) as Nereus; Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (The Get Down) as Black Manta; Ludi Lin (Power Rangers) as Murk; with Patrick Wilson (The Conjuring films, Watchmen) as Orm/Ocean Master; and Nicole Kidman as Atlanna. Here's the synopsis:
Aquaman will center on Aquaman as a reluctant ruler of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis who is caught between land dwellers that are always polluting the globe and his own people who are ready to invade the surface.
Aquaman is set to be released December 21, 2018.
