The First Trailer for THE GOOD LIAR with Ian McKellen and Helen Mirren is Intense

The Good Liar is an upcoming thriller from Warner Bros. starring Ian McKellen and Helen Mirren. The film is directed by Bill Condon using a screenplay from Jeffrey Hatcher based on Nicholas Searle’s novel of the same name. Based on the trailer, it looks incredibly good. It doesn’t hurt that McKellen and Mirren are great actors.

“Career con artist Roy Courtnay (McKellen) can hardly believe his luck when he meets well-to-do widow Betty McLeish (Mirren) online. As Betty opens her home and life to him, Roy is surprised to find himself caring about her, turning what should be a cut-and-dry swindle into the most treacherous tightrope walk of his life.”

Other members of the cast include Jim Carter, Laurie Davidson, Mark Lewis Jones, and Russell Tovey. The Good Liar will be in theaters on November 15.
