The First Trailer For X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX Drops Tonight and Here's a Motion Poster Tease

“I’ve seen evil and I’m looking at it now.”

At long last we are going to get to watch the first trailer for X-Men: Dark Phoenix tonight! It’s set to premiere on The Late Late Show with James Corden on CBS. You can expect to be released online around the same time.

While we wait for the trailer for director Simon Kinberg’s film to drop, we have a new synopsis for you to read along with a motion poster. That motion poster promo features dialogue from several members of the X-Men team talking about Jean Grey and it sounds troubling.

In Dark Phoenix, the X-Men face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling our of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite - not only to save Jean's soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.

Dark Phoenix sees the returns of James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Sophie Grace, and Alexandra Shipp. Jessica Chastain will be taking on the role of a mysterious villain in the story.

X-Men:Dark Phoenix is set to hit theaters on February 14, 2019. Are you excited to see the trailer tonight!?
