The FLASHPOINT Movie Will Reportedly Include Wonder Woman and Other Heroes
During Comic-Con last month, Warner Bros. announced that their upcoming Flash movie would be called Flashpoint. For anyone familiar with the comic books, the whole Flashpoint storyline is a huge deal and it could completely change the DCEU as we know it.
I think it was safe to assume that Flashpoint really wouldn't be a Flash solo movie because several other DC superhero characters are a part of that story arc. Forbes has recently confirmed that this could actually be the case. They reveal that Wonder Woman and other heroes will be involved with the film's story.
Gadot is also expected to reprise her role as Wonder Woman in the upcoming production of Flashpoint, which will be Flash's solo movie but is also more of another superhero team-up featuring several additional DC superheroes.
After the success of Wonder Woman, it makes sense that they would want the character to show up whenever it's possible in the DCEU films. She's basically becoming like the Iron Man of the DC universe. In a way, Flashpoint could be compared to Captain America: Civil War because even though the story focuses on the events of one character, several other main players in the universe are involved with the story.
The story takes place in a world where Barry Allen wakes up and the world has changed. Captain Cold is considered a hero and Bruce Wayne is dead. His father Thomas Wayne is Batman and Wonder Woman and Aquaman are in a battle for world dominance. Everything is just completely messed up. It's a fascinating storyline, and I'm curious to see how they handle it in movie form. It seems like the kind of story that could, at least, span a trilogy of films! Not sure how they'll be able to effectively pull it off with one movie, so we'll have to wait and see.
