The Four Main Villains in Matt Reeves' THE BATMAN Have Reportedly Been Revealed

We’ve been hearing rumors about the villains who will appear in Matt Reeves’ The Batman for a long time. After all, there are a lot of great villains to choose from. But, Geeks World Wide claims to know who the four big villains in the story will be.

We’ve already heard that a couple of these characters will be popping up in the film. Then there is one that I heard about that the report confirms, and another that I wasn’t expecting. So, without further ado, here are the four villains that may end up showing up in The Batman:

The Penguin, a “Gotham City mobster.” He is a short, obese man with a long nose, and he uses high-tech umbrellas as weapons. Reeves is searching for a male actor of any ethnicity between the ages of 20 and 40.”

Catwoman, a “Gotham City burglar who wears a tight one piece outfit and uses a bullwhip for a weapon. Reeves wants an actress of any ethnicity between the ages of 20 and 30.”

The Riddler, “likely the main villain, who will be a criminal mastermind in Gotham City who takes delight in incorporating riddles and puzzles into his schemes, leaving them as clues for the authorities to solve. Reeves is seeking a male actor of any ethnicity between the ages of 30 and 40.”

Firefly, “a professional arsonist… who attempts to burn all the places that he lacked the privilege to go as an orphan child. Reeves is searching for a male actor of any ethnicity between the ages of 20 and 30.”

Out of all these characters, the one I’m most excited about is The Riddler. That’s one that I’ve heard from sources, but it’s good to know that I’m not the only one that’s heard that. I was really hoping that it would be true. I think The Riddler would make for a great sinister villain.

If this news is true and these villains do show up in the movie, I can’t wait to see what Reeves has in store for them and how he will bring them to the big screen. It was previously reported:

"This new Batman needed to conform to a defined age bracket. He is written as around 30 years old, and the story is neither another re-hashing of his origin nor the tale of a seasoned crimefighter ruling Gotham City. He is Bruce Wayne still trying to find his footing on his way to becoming the genius detective."
