The FX Series MAYANS M.C. Will Come To an End With Season 5
The popular FX biking club drama series Mayans M.C. will be coming to a close. A few months after the show was renewed for Season 5, we’ve now learned that season five will be its last. I’ve enjoyed this show over the years and it’ll be interesting to see how the creative team brings this show to an end.
The news was announced by FX Content and FX Productions chairman John Landgraf during the network’s presentation at the Television Critics Association’s winter 2023 press tour.
The show is set in the same universe as Sons of Anarchy, and the series follows JD Pardo as Ezekiel “EZ’ Reyes, a member of the Mayans Motorcycle Club charter on the border of California and Mexico. “He and his brother Angel (Clayton Cardenas) and the rest of the Santo Padre M.C. face retaliation from other chapters after a failed attempt to align under one King. Meanwhile, EZ and Angel have grown distant from their father Felipe (Edward James Olmos) after a major betrayal.”
When talking about the ending of the show, co-creator Elgin James previously said: “We know where it ends. I know the very last shot. So, it’s not in Season 4 so I’m just going to say, there at least has to be one more. But we know exactly where it ends and we have been headed there for a while now.”
I can’t wait to see what that last shot will be!
