The GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE Sequel Gets a 2023 Release Date

There’s a new Ghostbusters film in development that will serve as a sequel to Ghostbusters: Afterlife, and it’s being developed under the working title Firehouse. The movie will be set in New York City and the iconic headquarters of the Ghostbusters is going to be one of the main settings of the movie.

It’s now been announced that the new movie will be released on December 20th, 2023!

Jason Reitman is returning to direct, and he previously shared, "The last time we saw Ecto-1, it was driving back into Manhattan: the home of Ghostbusters. That's where our story begins. The code name is FIREHOUSE." Gil Kenan is also returning to write the script for the film with Reitman.

We still don’t have any story details, but I enjoyed the heck out of Ghostbusters: Afterlife and I can’t wait to see what kind of story the creative team is going to deliver to the fans!
