THE GOD OF HIGH SCHOOL Anime Changed a Character to Resemble Robert Downey Jr.

The second episode of The God of High School recently released and a new character was introduced: the President. If you read the comic on Webtoon, you might have noticed a change here. In the comic, the character is based on Barack Obama, who was the president when the episode originally aired 10 years ago.

Crunchyroll has released a little behind-the-scenes video that talks about the change, but basically, Yongje Park decided to change the look of the president, and he was inspired by Robert Downey Jr. in the role of Iron Man/Tony Stark.

To make matters even more interesting, the President is voiced by Keiji Fujiwara, who voiced a lot of great characters like Maes Hughes in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood as well as Iron Man in several animated films and the Japanese dub voice for the MCU’s Tony Stark. Basically, they got Japanese Iron Man to voice a character designed to look like Iron Man. How are you enjoying The God of High School?
