THE GOLDBERGS Set to End With Its Current 10th Season on ABC
The hit series The Goldbergs is set to finish out its run with the 10th season, currently airing on ABC. The show took place in the ‘80s, and followed the Goldberg family from the perspective of their teenaged son, Adam. The real-life Adam Goldberg, who created the series, borrowed from his real life growing up in Jenkintown, a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The series was based on his life, and often showed pictures and videos of the family and friends the stories were based on.
The show had a strong following and viewership, which has dwindled some in the final two seasons, coinciding with the forced storyline of the father character dying on the series (after a season of weird CGI), due to allegations against actor Jeff Garlin that got him kicked off the show.
The series starred a hilarious cast that included Sean Giambrone, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Troy Gentile, Hayley Orrantia, George Segal, Sam Lerner, and Patton Oswalt as the voice of Adam.
Despite the last seasons not being quite as great, the show will still go down as one of the funniest and most nostalgic and smart of all-time. It was our generation’s Wonder Years, and it was a ton of fun while it lasted.
