The HALLOWEEN Sequel Will Reportedly Start Shooting This Fall with a 2020 Release Date

It looks like Blumhouse is getting close to production on their Halloween sequel. According to Collider, the film will start shooting this fall and it will see the return of Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, and Andi Matichak.

It’s also reported that David Gordon Green has written the script and will also return to direct the sequel. I was hoping that would be the case because I really liked what he and Danny McBride did with the last film. A lot of fans liked how they handled the franchise.

Producer Jason Blum recently teased that this was all moving forward with a photo he shared of himself hanging out with Curtis. I’m curious to see what the creative team is planning for the sequel, and what story they will tell. How will they continue the Michael Meyers legend? Did he really survive the end of the movie?

I guess we’ll have to wait and see when the Halloween sequel will be released on October 16, 2020.
