THE HAPPYTIME MURDERS Bombs At The Box Office

Reviews for The Happytime Murders weren't great, but it's fair to say the box office pull for the film this weekend was even worse. Bloody Disgusting reports the film is estimated to have pulled in about $10 million domestically, which is a cool $30 million short of its $40 million budget. Unfortunately, the film needs to pull about $150 million to break even, so it's looking like STX is going to take a pretty massive loss on this film.

That's disappointing to hear. I won't deny what I've seen from the film looks weak, but I was hoping Melissa McCarthy could help that film become a hit. Those who have seen it over the weekend (there aren't many of you), do you think the bad reviews for this film are justified? Do you think this film will become a cult classic that just had a bad run at the box office?
