THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE Star Oliver Jackson-Cohen Joins THE HAUNTING OF BLY MANOR

Another one of the stars from The Hunting of Hill House has joined its second season, The Haunting of Bly Manor. Oliver Jackson-Cohen, who was recently set to star in Universal Pictures’ The Invisible Man, is set to return to another crazy haunted house story.

The second season will not continue the story of Season one. This will tell a whole new story with different characters and it’s based on the 1898 novel by Henry James, The Turn of the Screw. The book tells the story of a governess, who will be played by Pedretti, “hired to look after a pair of siblings. However, several ghosts around their manor house exhibit a supernatural hold over the children.”

Here’s a description of the The Turn of the Screw novel:

A very young woman's first job: governess for two weirdly beautiful, strangely distant, oddly silent children, Miles and Flora, at a forlorn estate...An estate haunted by a beckoning evil.

Half-seen figures who glare from dark towers and dusty windows- silent, foul phantoms who, day by day, night by night, come closer, ever closer. With growing horror, the helpless governess realizes the fiendish creatures want the children, seeking to corrupt their bodies, possess their minds, own their souls...

But worse-much worse- the governess discovers that Miles and Flora have no terror of the lurking evil.

For they want the walking dead as badly as the dead want them.

Series creator and director Mike Flanagan will be back for Season 2 along with Victoria Pedretti. Then there’s Carla Gugino who is also hoping to return for Season 2 as well.

I loved The Haunting of Hill House and I’m excited to see how this next story turns out!
