The Heroes Assemble To Fight in Final Trailer For Marvel's THE DEFENDERS
Netflix has released the final trailer for Marvel's The Defenders, which is set to premiere next week! The new trailer features the team coming together to fight Sigourney Weaver's Alexandra. In the process, Danny Rand a.k.a. Iron Fist is laid back, having fun, kicking ass, and seems to be annoying the team. There's some cool new footage in the trailer to see that includes a resurrected Elektra taking on Luke Cage. We also see that her samurai sword is no match for Rand's glowing Iron Fist of death.
The Defenders looks like a ton of fun and I like that they are going to have fun with Rand's character in this series. He will be the character who really lightens things up in this dark corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Marvel’s The Defenders follows Matt Murdock/Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Danny Rand/Iron Fist (Finn Jones), a quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.
The series also stars Elodie Yung as Elektra, Scott Glenn as Stick, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth, Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker, Eka Darville as Malcolm Ducasse, Simone Missick as Misty Knight and Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing.
The Netflix original series launches globally on August 18, 2017. I also included a clip from the series below the trailer, which features Foggy bailing out Luke Cage.
