The Hit Netflix Series ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK Will Come To an End After Season 7

If you’re a fan of the hit Netflix series Orange is the New Black, I’ve got some sad news for you. In a recent video message posted on Twitter, member of the cast and crew announced that the series would be coming to an end after Season 7. In the video they all thank the fans for the support that the show has had over the years.

Orange is the New Black is one of Netflix's longest-running and most-awarded series. It’s a fantastic show that I’ve enjoyed watching of the course of its six season and it’s kind of a bummer that we only have one more Season to go, but I’m looking forward to seeing how this story comes to a close.

The series centers around Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling), a public relations executive with a career and a fiance when her past suddenly catches up to her. “In her mid-30s she is sentenced to spend time in a minimum-security women's prison in Connecticut for her association with a drug runner 10 years earlier. Forced to trade power suits for prison orange, Chapman makes her way through the corrections system and adjusts to life behind bars, making friends with the many eccentric, unusual and unexpected people she meets.”

The series was created by Jenji Kohan and it is based on Piper Kerman's memoir, Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women's Prison, which is about the experiences she had while serving time at FCI Danbury, a minimum-security federal prison.

What makes the show so great are the characters that have been introduced in the story and following each of their story arcs over the years has been a fun and entertaining experience.

If you haven’t watched the show yet, all of the episodes are currently streaming on Netflix. You should give it shot!
