The Hulk Destroys Superman in Unused Comic Book Art From 1996's Marvel Vs. DC Crossover Event

I know many of us have had conversations about who would win in a fight between superheroes from Marvel and DC. I’m sure that Superman and Hulk came up in some of those conversations. They certainly came up in mine! While I loved Hulk, I never doubted that Superman could take him down if he needed to.

In 1996 a there was a crossover event comic titled Marvel vs. DC which pitted some of the most iconic characters from each of the worlds against each other. Readers were actually given the opportunity to vote on the outcomes of five of the event's biggest battles, including Superman’s fight against The Hulk.

In the comic that was punished, Superman won the battle, but thanks to Marvel Comics Executive Editor Tom Brevoort we now have an unused piece of comic artwork created by Claudio Castellini that gives us the version of the story where The Hulk destroyed The Man of Steel, and I love it!

Who do you think would win in a fight between these two characters? You can check out the original comic art with the alternate below.
