THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY Part 2 Poster — The Sister Portrait
This is a “commemorative” movie poster for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 called “The Sister Portrait.” The poster was made for the Cannes Film Festival, and as you can see it features a striking pose of the Everdeen sisters, Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Prim (Willow Shields). It has a very American Gothic type of vibe to it.
I’m ready for this franchise to end. I’ve enjoyed the films, but this last chapter of the story didn't really need to be split into two movies. I’m looking forward to seeing this last film in the franchise, and then I’ll be glad it’s done.
With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow (Donald Sutherland) in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends – including Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Finnick (Sam Claflin), and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) – Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to stage an assassination attempt on President Snow (Donald Sutherland), who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 was directed by Francis Lawrence. The cast also includes Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Willow Shields, Jena Malone, Stanley Tucci, Julianne Moore, Mahershala Ali, Natalie Dormer, Wes Chatham, Elden Henson, and Evan Ross.
The film will be released in theaters on November 20th, 2015.
