The Immortal Warrior Film THE OLD GUARD Casts Luca Marinelli and Matthias Schoenaerts

The Old Guard film has added Luca Marinelli and Matthias Schoenaerts. The catch is that we have not been given any details as to who these two stars will be playing, so it’s anyone’s guess. They join the cast that already includes Marwan Kenzari, Kiki Layne, and Charlize Theron.

“Guard tells of a small group of soldiers, led by a woman named Andy (Theron), who are inexplicably immortal and have been working as mercenaries through the ages. The novelty of not dying long gone, the group gets a jolt in their bones when they discover the existence of a new Greg Ruckimmortal (Layne) at the same time as a nefarious organization captures their undying actions on camera.”

Gina Prince-Bythwood is directing The Old Guard for Netflix and Skydance. This film is an adaptation of the comic written by Greg Rucka and illustrated by Leandro Fernandez. The script was written by Prince-Bythewood and Rucka. No release date has been provided for The Old Guard.
