The Incredible Prison Fight Sequence in DAREDEVIL Season 3 Isn't Eligible for an Emmy for a Stupid Reason

I’m sure you all remember that badass prison fight sequence in Daredevil Season 3 that involved a riot and an escape. If you saw it, how could you forget?! The sequence was eleven minutes long, and it was filmed in one shot.

The scene featured some of the best, top-notch stunt work that has been been created for TV, and according to showrunner Erik Oleson, the rousing sequence isn’t even eligible for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Stunt Coordination for a Drama Series, Limited Series, or Movie. Why? Because it’s too long! Oleson shared the following news on Twitter:

“The TV Academy would only allow a three minute clip, so, unfortunately, that epic oner was not eligible to be shown for stunts consideration.”

That’s the stupidest reason for the show to not be eligible for this award. What a shame as the people who worked their asses off on this show deserve to be recognized.
