THE INCREDIBLES 2 Gets a Release Date, TOY STORY 4 Delayed

Hot on the heels of news that Disney and Marvel have announced Ant-Man and the Wasp, the Mouse House has also revealed some release dates for upcoming Pixar movies. The one that I imagine will be the most interesting for GeekTyrant readers is that Brad Bird's long-awaited The Incredibles 2 finally has an official release date: it'll arrive on June 21st, 2019.

A close second when it comes to reader interest will be that John Lasseter's Toy Story 4 has been delayed a full year from June of 2017 to June 15th, 2018. That's a bit disappointing, but it'll give Rashida Jones and her writing partner Will McCormack more time to perfect the screenplay, so hopefully it'll end up being a better movie because of it.

Cars 3 will now race into the June 16th, 2017 slot. Additionally, Pixar has given a name for the mystery project with a November 22nd, 2017 movie: it's called Coco.

So there you have it. Update your calendars accordingly.
