THE IRISHMAN Star Stephen Graham Will Play a Chef in His Next Film Project BOILING POINT

Stephen Graham (Snatch, The Irishman, Gangs of New York) is set to star in a new film project titled Boiling Point. Graham will take on the role of a head chef who is “navigating the relentless pressure of his kitchen.”

The project was set up under Graham’s newly formed Matriarch Productions, which he launched with his partner and fellow actor, Hannah Walters. The goal of the production company is to provide a platform for underrepresented voices and stories out of the U.K.

Boiling Point is a feature-length version of a short film that Graham also starred in. That short was nominated for Best British Short at the 2019 British Independent Film Awards. The project was written and directed by Philip Barantini, who is also set to helm the feature.

The rest of the cast includes Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter) and Vinette Robinson (A Christmas Carol), all of whom feature in the “orbit of head chef Andy McLeod (Graham), who tries to keep his restaurant functioning on the busiest day of the year in the run-up to Christmas.”

As someone who enjoys cooking, I like movies with stories that revolve around the world of chefs.
