The JOHN WICK Prequel Series THE CONTINENTAL Casts Some High Table Assassins
The upcoming John Wick prequel series The Continental is filling up its cast of assassins. The recent cast members that have been added to the series include Katie McGrath (Supergirl), Ray McKinnon (Rectify) Adam Shapiro (Never Have I Ever), Mark Musashi (Fear of the Walking Dead), and Marina Mazepa (Malignant).
McGrath will take on the role of The Adjudicator; McKinnon portrays Jenkins; Shapiro is Lemmy; and Musahi and Mazepa will play High Table assassins Hansel & Gretel. They will star alongside the previously cast Colin Woodell, Mel Gibson, Hubert Point-Du Jour, Jessica Allain, Mishel Prada, Nhung Kate, and Ben Robson.
The story will be told through the eyes and actions of Winston Scott, “who is dragged into the Hell-scape of a 1975 New York City to face a past he thought he’d left behind. Winston charts a deadly course through the New York’s mysterious underworld in a harrowing attempt to seize the iconic hotel, which serves as the meeting point for the world’s most dangerous criminals.”
The Continental is planned as a three-episode event series with each episode being 90 minutes long. The series is being written and executive produced by Greg Coolidge (Wayne, Ride Along) and Kirk Ward (Wayne), who also serve as showrunners. David Leitch, Derek Kolstad, Erica Lee, Chad Stahelski, Paul Wernick, and Rhett Reese will also serve as executive producers.
John Wick: Chapter 4 is currently set to enter theaters on May 27, 2022 ,while The Continental has yet to set a release date. I’m a big fan of this action franchise. The world that has been created for these assassins is a fascinating one, and I love that they are going to explore the history of it in this new series.
