THE LAST OF US Star Bella Ramsey Says The Season Finale Will "Divide People Massively"

The season finale of HBO Max’s series adaptation of The Last of Us is set to drop next week, and according to series star Bella Ramsey, it’s going to "divide people massively".

So far, the show has been an incredible and thrilling journey. I’ve enjoyed every episode as the writing, directing, acting, and production value are top-notch work. The creative team of Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann have done such an amazing job telling this story!

During an interview with British Vogue, Ramsey reiterated “massively” and went on to talk about the harder scenes in the series to shoot are the ones she likes best: "It was… exhausting, but those were some of my favorite days on set. That sounds really masochistic, but it's the scenes that break me that I love the most, in a way."

The last episode that was released this past Sunday definitely took Ramsey through the wringer as Ellie finds herself in a pretty messed up and traumatic situation. When talking about Episode 8 with CB, she talked about it, saying: "It's definitely a shift. She's experienced traumas before, but this is nothing that she's ever experienced. Of all the things that could've gone wrong in this world, all the time she could've died up until now, she did not anticipate this."

In the episode, Ellie crosses paths with David (Scott Shepherd) and James (Troy Baker). It’s a nightmare of a situation that definitely ends in a bloody and brutal way. If you’ve seen the episode, you know what I mean.

The actor went on to say: "I think she is also scared not only of what happened with David, and what he was going to do to her, but she's also I think maybe more afraid of what she did to him, and that violence that lives within her, I don't think that she's... We see when he punched Bethany in the face in the last episode, and we've seen her be violent, but not like this. And I think that scares her, what she's capable of."

It’ll be interesting to see how the first season of The Last of Us comes to an end, with Ramsey saying that it will massively divide people. It makes me think that the creative team has drastically changed some things up from the game. I guess we’ll find out next weekend!
