The Late Robert Forster's Final Performance Will Be Seen in Steven Spielberg's AMAZING STORIES Revival
Fans were pretty shocked to hear that actor Robert Forster, known for his roles in Jackie Brown, Heroes, The Descendants, Breaking Bad, Twin Peaks, and Last Man Standing, had passed away on the day he appeared in the Netflix film El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie. He reprised his role from the series and did an incredible job in the role. The star of the film, Aaron Paul, raved about working with the actor, and even said he lobbied for a scene that centered around Forster’s character to stay in after it was cut, and now hopes for a director’s cut of the entire film to be released.
We were all pretty sure that the film was Forster’s last work, but it turns out he was actually involved in another project before he passed away. Apple TV+ has created a reimagining of Steven Spielberg’s 1980s anthology series, Amazing Stories. Forster starred in the episode “Dynoman and The Volt,” which will be dedicated to the actor when the episode airs.
Deadline has provided the following description of that episode’s story:
Dynoman and The Volt is about an awkward tween boy and his grandpa (Forster) who wrestle with feeling powerless. When a superhero ring Grandpa ordered out of the back of a comic book arrives 50 years late, they discover it has the power to turn them into actual superheroes.
“Dynoman and The Volt” was written by Peter Ackerman and directed by Susanna Fogel. Apple TV+ is set to launch on November 1st. Amazing Stories is not yet scheduled, but we will let you know dates as soon as we do. Are you stoked for this new series?
