The Latest Unearthed Arcana for DUNGEONS & DRAGONS Has New Subclasses for Fighters, Rangers, and Rogues
Dungeons & Dragons has a new Unearthed Arcana. This time, there are three new subclasses with one for the Fighter, one for Rangers, and one for Rogues. The Fighter can now become a Rune Knight. They gain the ability to use runes to imbue magical properties on armor, shields, and weapons. This is a really cool idea and will definitely make some players think twice before making their Fighter’s dump stat Intelligence. You’ll also be able to grow and become physically stronger like giants for making others even punier when around you.
I’ll be honest, the new Swarmkeeper archetype for Rangers doesn’t hold my interest, but I’m sure others will be fascinated. Essentially, you can summon a swarm of tiny creatures to do your bidding. There are some cool things like being able to climb without ability checks, but I found myself underwhelmed by it.
Finally, the Rogues can be The Revived. This is a really interesting subclass to me since it almost feels more like a backstory. Essentially, you’ve died before and you’ve realized this. This creates a unique relationship between you and death. This allows you to not need sleep, food, water, or even air. You also get the ability to shoot bolts of necrotic energy from your body. The one feature that probably has me the most intrigued ias that eventually, if you reach 0 hit points and are healed or stabilized, you can change part of your characteristics like your personality.
You can find the Unearthed Arcana on the official site. Take a look and let me know what you are most excited about.
