The Latest Unearthed Arcana for DUNGEONS & DRAGONS is All About Dragons

Dungeons & Dragons recently released an interesting Unearthed Arcana. The latest set of playtest material is all about dragons and involves what appears to be rewrites of the Dragonborn and Kobold races as well as new feats and spells.

Dragonborn appear to be rewritten with this Unearthed Arcana. Now, you need to select if you want to be a Chromatic, Metallic, or Gem Dragonborn and then from there you decide your color. Breath Weapons appear to have been boosted from using 6-sided dice to 8-sided dice. In addition, Chromatic Dragonborn fire their Breath Weapon in a line while the others fire in a cone. The biggest change outside of the addition of the Gem Dragonborn are the features that each one acquires at level 3.

Meanwhile, Kobold gets almost entirely rewritten. They lose most of their features and instead you get Draconic Legacy and Draconic Roar. Overall, these are positive changes, but I will miss the Pack Tactics feature.

The new feats are actually pretty cool and very unique to each other. Meanwhile, the spells vary drastically. There are conjuration, transmutation, illusion, and more options. What have been your favorite parts of the new Unearthed Arcana?
