The Latest VENOM Trailer is Packed Full of Venomous New Footage!
Sony Pictures has released the latest trailer for their upcoming Marvel film Venom. This is the trailer that they showed us at Comic-Con and it's packed full of new venomous footage! There are some really awesome visuals here that might actually get some of you excited for the movie. The new trailer teases Venom biting off heads! I hope that the movie good! Only time will tell if director Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Gangster Squad) gives us a great story to go along with these wicked cool visuals. When previously talking about the film, the director said:
Our movie wants to honor the comics as close as we can tonally. In the comics, he bites people's heads off and eats brains. It would be weird to make a movie with Venom if he wasn't doing that. We tried to honor it as closely as possible. This is definitely a darker, more violent, more vicious Marvel character than I think anyone's ever seen before."
The movie was inspired by the 1993 six-issue Venom: Lethal Protector comic miniseries. The story followed Venom moving to San Francisco after he and Spider-Man made a truce. Once in San Francisco, Venom is hunted down by the Life Foundation, who wants to study the Venom symbiote so they can use it for their own evil purposes. From it, they create five new symbiote spawn including Scream, Phage, Riot, Lasher, and Agony.
Tom Hardy is joined in the film by Michelle Williams (The Greatest Showman), Riz Ahmed (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Jenny Slate (Zootopia) and Woody Harrelson (True Detective).
Venom is set to be released on October 5, 2018. What do you think of the latest trailer? Did it get you more excited about seeing the movie?
