THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE Featurette: Go Behind the Bricks With the Bat-Family
I went nuts for The LEGO Movie, and while I realize that's a high bar to set, I have my fingers crossed that The LEGO Batman Movie is going to at least be one of the few spin-offs that actually earns a separate story worth telling with a character audiences love. Look at Russell Brand's character in Forgetting Sarah Marshall: he worked really well in small doses, but when he had to shoulder an entire movie (Get Him to the Greek), it sort of fell apart. But because this is Batman we're talking about, he has an entire world that's already been established in pop culture, and we just get to see the LEGO-fied version of it. I can't wait to check this out when it hits theaters on February 10, 2017.
