For those of you who are enjoying Lucasfilm’s line of Star Wars: The High Republic publications, the third wave is coming, and it’s going to be dark. A list of projects was revealed at Comic-Con@Home and that list came with the header that reads, "The Light fo the Jedi goes dark…." So that can’t be good. It seems like the Jedi aren’t going to be handling things well with what they are being faced with.

Wave 3, Phase I of Star Wars: The High Republic will begin releasing in January 2022 and here are the projects that have been revealed

  • Adult Novel #3 will be written by Claudia Gray, titled The Fallen Star (Del Rey)

  • Young Adult #3 will be written by Daniel José Older, titled Midnight Horizon (Disney Lucasfilm Press)

  • Middle Grade #3 will be written by Justina Ireland, titled Mission to Disaster (Disney Lucasfilm Press)

  • Charles Soule will pen two 30-page issues (Marvel Comics) called The Eye of the Storm that will tell the "very complicated backstory" of the High Republik villain Marchion Ro

When talking about the character Marchion Ro, Soule explained, "He's absolutely terrifying. He's charming in a way… you'll meet him and he'll talk to you and you'll have a good time. Maybe he'll buy you a beer. A space beer, I guess. But then, you know, the minute you leave the room, his face goes blank. It's all just a mask."
