THE LINCOLN LAWYER Season 4 Trailer Sees Mickey in the Biggest Fight of His Life
Netflix released the a new trailer The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4, and this time, the smooth-talking defense attorney isn’t fighting for a client’s freedom, he’s fighting for his own life.
The trailer opens with a hard line that sets the tone for the season. Mickey Haller, played by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, lays it out as he prepares for the fight ahead
“Every murder case is like a tree. And it’s the prosecutor’s job to feed and water that tree. I’m the man with the axe. I’m gonna cut that tree down to the ground.”
Season 4 pulls directly from Michael Connelly’s novel The Law of Innocence, the sixth book in the bestselling Lincoln Lawyer series.
The story picks up after the brutal cliffhanger at the end of Season 3, when the body of Mickey’s former client, conman Sam Scales, was found stuffed in the trunk of his Lincoln. Now Mickey is charged with murder, and every move he’s ever made as a defense attorney is being dragged into the light.
Sam Scales, portrayed by Christopher Thornton, didn’t just leave behind a body. He left behind one final scam, and Mickey and his team have to untangle it piece by piece to prove he was set up. That search puts them on a collision course with the DA’s office, the FBI, and unresolved pieces of Mickey’s past that refuse to stay buried.
Standing directly in Mickey’s path is prosecutor Dana Berg, played by Constance Zimmer. She is a relentless force, the kind of courtroom predator you don’t send in unless you’re serious about winning.
Berg also happens to have a personal connection to Mickey’s first ex-wife, Maggie, played by Neve Campbell, which adds another layer of tension to an already loaded case. Maggie’s familiarity with Berg could end up being the edge Mickey desperately needs, or it could complicate things even further.
The supporting cast includes Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole, and Angus Sampson, all returning to stand by Mickey as the pressure closes in. Season 4 also brings in Krista Warner, Elliott Gould, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Marcus Henderson, Gigi Zumbado, Scott Lawrence, Lana Parrilla, Sasha Alexander, Cobie Smulders, Kacey Montoya, Jason O’Mara, Jason Butler Harner, Javon Johnson, Kyle Richards, and Nancy Silverton.
The series was created for television by David E. Kelley and developed by Ted Humphrey, who serves as co-showrunner alongside Dailyn Rodriguez. Michael Connelly is an executive producer.
The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 premieres February 5, and if the trailer’s any indication, Mickey Haller’s toughest case is finally here.
