THE LITTLE MERMAID Is Getting the 4K Treatment for Its 30th Anniversary
Disney has not made any official announcement about this yet, but thanks to Target, fans know that The Little Mermaid is going to be released in 4K soon. The film is said to be a Target Exclusive and will include a “Filmmaker Gallery” and a storybook to follow along in.
The price for all of this? $32.99. Don’t expect that price to drop either. Thanks to the Disney vault, that price will not see any substantial changes until Disney stops producing it.
Of course, it’s not just random that The Little Mermaid is being released in 4K in 2019. 2019 is the 30th anniversary of the film’s release. No exact release date has been given, but the rumors point to February 26.
