The Magic of Hogwarts Explored in New Featurette For FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE SECRETS OF DUMBLEDORE
Warner Bros. has released a wonderful new featurette for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore and it puts the focus on the magic of Hogwarts. A big part of the story apparently takes place at Hogwarts, which is pretty cool! Fans have been wanting to see a return to Hogwarts in this Fantastic Beasts series and this next film will give them that and it’s something that I’m personally excited about. It’s a place that will be fun to revisit in this franchise.
The featurette offers up some great footage focusing in and around Hogwarts and it also features interviews with the cast and crew including Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore, Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski, and Callum Turner as Newt's brother, Theseus Scamander.
In the story, Dumbledore calls on Magizoologist Newt Scamander and a team of brave individuals to prevent Mads Mikkelsen’s Gellert Grindelwald from growing a legion of followers and to stop a looming wizarding world war. Their goal is to take down the most dangerous wizard in over a century as Grindelwald is pulling the world apart with hate.
The synopsis for the movie reads:
Professor Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen) is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines?
The movie also stars Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, and Ezra Miller. J.K. Rowling’s frequent collaborator and Harry Potter franchise writer Steve Kloves co-wrote the script, and Harry Potter veteran David Yates returned to helm the new movie.
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore will be released in theaters on April 15th, 2022.
