THE MAN WHO KILLED DON QUIXOTE Loses U.S. Distribution as Terry Gilliam Suffers a Stroke
The rights to Terry Gilliam's The Man Who Killed Don Quixote have been in question for a while now, and after the latest drama of the film potentially being barred from airing at Cannes, Amazon is ready to pull out of U.S. distribution for the film. Variety reports the news comes prior to the court ruling, which we're guessing is going to reveal the verdict that the film will not be able to screen at Cannes.
It looks like the world will never get to see this film, which Gilliam has been in the process of making for the past 20 years. For an extra bit of bad news, Gilliam reportedly suffered a minor stroke over the weekend, although representatives for the director say the event will not affect his presence at Cannes Film Festival.
Are you disappointed this film isn't finally coming out? Do you think it ever will? This film is just cursed!
