THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU Promo Art Reveals Din Djarin, Grogu, and New Stormtrooper Threats
Fresh promo art for The Mandalorian and Grogu has surfaced, giving fans a clean new look at Din Djarin, Grogu, and three distinct classes of Stormtroopers tied to the Imperial remnants that continue to cause trouble across the galaxy.
Many fans had hoped a brand-new trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu would debut in theaters alongside Avatar: Fire and Ash last month. Instead, Disney replayed the original teaser, sprinkling in just a few new frames.
Now there’s speculation that the first full trailer could finally arrive during next month’s Super Bowl. That hasn’t been confirmed, but the timing feels right. Until then, here’s some fun newly released promo art to check out.
The movie will center on the Mandalorian and Grogu embarking on a dangerous mission to save Rotta the Hutt. Imperial remnants are clearly part of the equation, and the presence of multiple Stormtrooper variants hints at a more organized and possibly more dangerous enemy than what Din Djarin has faced in recent chapters.
There’s also hope that the story will dig deeper into Grogu’s past, shedding more light on how he ended up in the hands of bounty hunters back in The Mandalorian Season 1.
At one point, many believed the series was setting up an origin story for Supreme Leader Snoke. Moff Gideon’s cloning experiments seemed closely tied to Emperor Palpatine’s eventual return, but that storyline appeared to come to an abrupt end with Gideon’s death in Season 3.
Even so, Grogu’s story is far from complete. Major questions remain, including what truly happened to Jedi Master Kelleran Beq and how Grogu survived the darkest days of the Empire.
Pedro Pascal previously teased the film, saying: "I know everything that there is to know, and I’m not gonna tell you any of it because I want you to experience it. I want everyone to experience the incredible surprises that are in store in one of the greatest adventure movies that has ever been made. I mean that."
Set after the fall of the Empire, The Mandalorian and Grogu finds Imperial warlords scattered and dangerous, while the New Republic struggles to maintain order. To help safeguard the future the Rebellion fought for, they turn to legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin and his young apprentice, Grogu.
The film is directed by Jon Favreau, who also produces alongside Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce. Music duties are once again handled by Ludwig Göransson, whose score has become inseparable from the identity of the franchise.
Din Djarin and Grogu are heading for their biggest adventure yet when The Mandalorian and Grogu hits theaters exclusively on May 22, 2026.
