THE MANDALORIAN Director Deborah Chow Has Reportedly Met With Marvel Studios About Upcoming Projects
Deborah Chow has recently been busy directing episodes three and seven of the first season of the hit Disney+ Star Wars series, The Mandalorian. She is also attached to direct the streamer’s upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series, and she has other major directing titles under her belt that include episodes of Mr. Robot, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Better Call Saul, and many more. So she is clearly a hot commodity right now, and that has been made clear by a recent meeting she had with the heads at Marvel.
In a recent report from a vetted source to MCUCosmic, they said that Chow has met with Marvel to discuss many of their upcoming projects. This would obviously be a step up from the handful of episodes she directed for the Netflix Marvel series, whether she lands with one of the upcoming films or Disney+ series.
The reports says no specific project was mentioned, but the source says Marvel has been looking recently to find a female director for Captain Marvel 2. Chow would be a great match for this film, as she has worked with the VFX heavy series The Mandalorian. The report goes on to say, “we can’t rule out the possibility of a Disney+ series, such as the Secret Invasion one that’s reportedly in development.”
Whatever she ends up doing will end up being cool, I’m sure. There are so many exciting things coming out of Marvel in the next couple of years. I can’t wait for them to get back to work! Which Marvel movie or series are you most looking forward to?
