THE MANDALORIAN Star Pedro Pascal Joins The Cast of COMMUNITY For Their Virtual Table Read
Last week we learned that the cast of Community was getting back together for a virtual live read and Q&A. Joel McHale, Donald Glover, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Alison Brie, Jim Rash, and Ken Jeong will all be there along with series creator Dan Harmon.
The cast will read the episode titled “Cooperative Polygraphy,” which is the fourth episode of Season 5, which originally aired on January 16, 2014. The story for that episode takes place almost entirely in the Greendale Community College library where the show’s study group gathers after the funeral of Pierce (Chevy Chase). Waiting for them is Pierce’s estate executor, played by Walton Goggins. One by one, the show’s characters are grilled by Goggins and are bequeathed final gifts.
Walton Goggins will not be joining the live read, so his character will be replaced by The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal. I’m sure that no one will complain about his involvement. You can check out a photo of the recording session below:
The live-stream event will take place on Monday, May 18th, at 2pm PT via Sony Pictures TV’s “Community” YouTube page. The cast will read the episode titled “Cooperative Polygraphy,” which is the fourth episode of Season 5, which originally aired on January 16, 2014.
For the Q&A part of the session, Fans can submit their questions on social media using #AskCommunity and tag @CommunityTV.
As part of the event, fans will be asked to contribute to two charities: José Andrés’ World Central Kitchen and Frontline Foods, both of which are involved in COVID-19 relief efforts to get fresh, nourishing meals to responders working on the frontlines and vulnerable communities across the country. Both charities have earned kudos for their work during these challenging times; McHale has partnered with Frontline Foods to help deliver foods to hospital workers around LA, NY and Detroit.
