The Maniacal Leprechaun is Back in New Trailer For LEPRECHAUN RETURNS
Leprechaun Returns is the eighth movie in the Leprechaun horror movie franchise. We’ve got a new trailer for the movie for you to watch that sees the return of the villainous and twisted Leprechaun as he terrorizes a group of sorority girls.
This is one of those silly horror franchises that I’ve enjoyed watching and it all started in 1993 with Jennifer Aniston, who was just starting her acting career. It also starred Warwick Davis as the Leprechaun.
I know this new film won’t have the same effect on fans as the original did, but it still looks like ridiculous fun. Here’s the synopsis:
The film picks up 25 years after the events of the 1993 original, which found a maniacal Leprechaun doing whatever it takes (including committing gruesome murder) to track down his stolen pot of gold. Leprechaun Returns finds the leprechaun revived in the modern day when a group of sorority girls unwittingly awaken him while tearing down a cabin to build a new sorority house.
The film was scripted by Suzanne Keilly (Ash vs Evil Dead) and directed by Steven Kostanski (The Void). It stars Taylor Spreitler and Mark Holton, who returns to the series for the first time since the original film. It also stars Pepi Sonuga (Ash vs Evil Dead) as Katie, Sai Bennett (Lake Placid: Legacy) as Rose, and Linden Porco (Cult of Chucky) as the evil Leprechaun.
