THE MARTIAN Writer Drew Goddard Will Write Phil Lord & Chris Miller's PROJECT HAIL MARY
Drew Goddard, best known for writing the film The Cabin in the Woods as well as being Oscar-nominated for adapting for the script for the film The Martian, has been hired to work on the script for the upcoming film, Project Hail Mary. The movie is being directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who have written and directed films like Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and The Lego Movie, and directed the 21 Jump Street films.
Ryan Gosling is set to star in the film that is about “an astronaut who wakes up to find himself millions of miles away from home, in a tiny craft with two dead crewmates for company and no recollection of his mission or even his name. But this man will soon discover he is humanity’s only hope for survival from an extinction-level threat.”
Goddard isn’t on the project full-time just yet. He is assisting Lord and Miller with the story for now, as his schedule allows. This is a great team, and a really interesting story and project. I’m totally interested in seeing what they come up with. Are you exciting for Project Hail Mary?
