THE MARVELS Gets a New Trailer That Offers Up Action and New Story Details
Marvel has released a new trailer for The Marvels and it’s loaded with action and new details on the story that it will tell.
The movie stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, and Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, and in the story, they have become linked causing them to physically swap places every time they use their powers. It turns out that the villain in the film is out for revenge and is the cause of this insanity in their lives.
It was previously explained: “All three have light-based abilities: Carol can absorb energy and shoot powerful photon blasts; Monica can manipulate all wavelengths of the electromagnetic spectrum; and Kamala can harden light, which she uses to make giant fists or stepping stones in mid-air.”
Larson went on to explain that she hopes the silliness of the story shines through, and says: “It doesn't have to be intense and heavy. There's a lot of humor. I think this movie's very funny, and we laughed a lot while making it." I like the humor that I’m seeing in the movie and I think this will be a fun flick.
Nia DaCosta is directing the movie from a script by written by Megan McDonnell. The movie is also said to “include many important MCU characters,” with the film being described as a "mini-Avengers film."
The film also sees the franchise returns of Samuel L. Jackson, Saagar Shaikh, Zenobia Shroff, and Mohan Kapur. New cast members include Zawe Ashton and Park Seo-joon.
The Marvels is set to hit theaters on November 10th.
